Who I am

Hi there!  I'm Sara.  Mommy to Bennett & Kendyll (boy/girl twins). 

Just before I became {surprise!} pregnant with twins, I had joined weight watchers, belonged to a gym and worked out with a personal trainer two days a week.  I was feeling great and was {getting to be} in the best shape of my life.  After a hellish pregnancy (think all.the.time "morning" sickness and a 9 week stint on strict bedrest) I only gained 19 pounds.  And two weeks after B&K were born I actually weighed 4 pounds LESS than I did when I got pregnant?!?  Sadly, though, the stress of working a full-time job, being a parent to multiples and having a spouse who used to travel extensively has taken its toll.  I'm now a good 30 lbs heavier than that and officially weigh more than I did when I was pregnant.  By 10lbs. 

So no more excuses.  No more daydreaming about getting fit.  No more thinking I am fit (until the mirror shows me the real truth) -- this is a blog about my journey to get back to the old me.  Healthy.  Thinner.  And maybe picking up a new hobby or two along the way (wait, I can run now???).
